Elevate Your Leadership:
Join the 'Leading Teams in the Era of AI' Live Course
No technical skills required, apart from experience with ChatGPT or similar LLMs. This is a leadership course, and our focus will be on how teams and organizations can effectively create a setting where people can leverage the full potential of GenAI.
This is your exclusive opportunity to go deeper with Mike and a select group of forward-thinking managers. Over four days, followed by an extended period of interactive discussion, you will turn insights from the book into practical skills and a personalized action plan for your team or organization.
Eight Interactive Live Sessions (2 per day): Each 50-minute session is packed with in-depth exploration of the book's core chapters, led by Mike. Ask your questions, get real-time feedback, and engage in dynamic discussions around targeted assignments connected to your profession that will prepare you to lead your team.
Day 1: 'Deep Dive into WHY'
Learn to articulate your point of view on how AI matters to your team, your company, your profession--promoting alignment around a sense of business purpose. You will develop an 'AI Manifesto' that captures the consequential and disruptive nature of AI in terms that are meaningful within your organization or network, balancing opportunities and potential risks. We will focus on the importance of organizational learning with AI as the technology evolves, understanding methods and habits to build learning capacity individually and within your team.
Day 2: 'Mastering the WHAT'
To be effective, meaningful AI initiatives must be tied to business strategy, with clear goals and metrics. At the same time, the 'generative' nature of GenAI introduces unpredictability and uncertainty that requires ongoing experimentation and risk management. You will learn frameworks to categorize different types of business objectives in which AI can play a significant role, understanding the primary challenges and opportunities associated with each for planning and oversight. We will explore the role of the leader in navigating the ever changing 'jagged edge' of AI capabilities.
Day 3: 'Empowering the WHO'
You will learn strategies for building the core teams that can spearhead AI-enabled projects, also understanding methods to assure these teams maintain alignment within an extended team or organization. We will cover practical communication and coordination strategies that leverage AI as a resource and partner. You will better understand the three primary modes of human-AI interaction (augmentation, automation, and collaboration) that can serve different purposes within a broader strategy.
Day 4: 'Implementing HOW and WHEN'
You will build a roadmap to operationalize an AI initiative. You have the option to use a case study we provide, but using a real-life scenario from your work is preferred. You will learn to outline the five-stage scenario plan (planning > pilot > review > scaling > adapting) that will serve as a starting point to make a business case that can adapt as you make progress. Lastly, we will share tips from highly effective executives on how you can use AI in your daily practice to lead more strategically.
Assignments, Guides and Discussions
Each session will include downloadable guides, worksheets and templates that offer practical tools you can take back to your workplace, as well as an assignment that can help you apply the course concepts to your own leadership challenge. Move beyond theory with individual and group exercises designed to help you apply the concepts directly to your own leadership. Maintain access to recordings of all live sessions (to revisit anytime).
